Forever 21 celebrates fashion week with colour blocking.Fashion Week garners a high level of public interest, but it’s not a public event. That can make things awkward for anyone who wants to capitalize on the glamor and excitement of the week for a non-industry audience. You can either acknowledge the closed-off nature of the party, which isn’t very fun, or you can pretend that every single person in your readership/viewership/consumer base is a fashion editor, which isn’t very realistic. This go-around, Forever 21 chose the latter route, decorating its store windows with a “Fashion Week Color Guide.”Friday, apparently, is purple fishnets day. Now you know.

This is amazing!! It’s so awesome that the merchandiser was able to make the tie-tying process look so true to life. And it’s a great way to invite the customer in: What better way than to show tidbits of their own lives? It’s like a mirror effect, I think. Love it!
